Koppelman earns National Merit scholarship

Sydney E. Koppelman, a graduate of Park Rapids Area High School, earned a National Merit Gustavus Adolphus College Scholarship.

Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the finalists

in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution. These

awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.

Gustavus Adolphus College is a liberal arts college in St. Peter that is supported by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Koppelman plans to major in education.

UMN Crookston Dean’s List

Mya Conway of Laporte and Emma Bliss of Nevis were named to the spring semester 2020 Dean's List at the University of Minnesota Crookston for attaining a 3.66 or higher grade point average.

Concordia College graduates

Area students who graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead in a virtual ceremony May 3 were Tiarra May, Kiefer Miller, Noah Schulz (cum laude) and Andre Schaum (summa cum laude).
